NSSF is a tripartite organization run by the Government, workers and employers with representation from the board of trustees, the Government, Federation of Kenya employers and the Central Organization of Trade Unions - Kenya. In formulating the Fund’s policies the Board of Trustees acts strictly in accordance with the NSSF Act, which places the best interests of NSSF members above all other considerations.
