The Fund in its quest to engage with the informal sector, got into a partnership with the Matatu Stage Welfare Association which has a total of 96,733 registered members countrywide. The partnership, which was spearheaded by the Marketing & Brand Department, was rolled out in Nyahururu on 1st April, 2019.
Working closely with Branch Managers in the Central/Eastern Region, we visited Nyeri, Kerugoya, Matuu, Wote, Makueni, Loitoktok, Emali, Machakos, Kangundo, Tala, Kiambu, among others.
It was quite an experience pitching up tents at the matatu terminals where we registered new members, topped up accounts for existing members, responded to queries and educated people of all walks of life that visited the tents. The Marketing & Brand team take this opportunity to convey their appreciation to the Branch Managers within the region for the great support they gave during this successful partnership!
